2018 Summer Speech and Debate Camp Information

Falcon Debate Team Camp Scholarships

Our team has worked very hard this year to raise money to help more debaters attend travel tournaments and summer camp.  Final amounts for scholarships and numbers of scholarships available will be announced on Wednesday, April 6th. Scholarships are available to team members who are willing to commit to an event and to serve in the coming school year as event specific squad leaders.  Scholarship opportunities will be available in the following events:

  • Public Forum Debate ( partner not required for camp)
  • Student Congress
  • Original Oratory
  • Individual Events

Scholarship recepients in speech events will be required to work in the final quarter on topic selection for oratory and piece selection for HI and DI and theme and literature selection for POI in order to go to camp ready to learn about the actual eventand  not to merely to develop a winning piece.

All scholarship recepients will be required to apply to their selected camps and make initial deposits prior to any monies being made on their behalf by the team.  Camp applicants are also encouraged to apply for scholarships and finanacial assistance as may apply in addition to the team award.

Scholarship application must be completed by the team member/applicant on line by clicking the link below.  Parent Consent and commitment form must be downloaded, completed and signed by the applicant’s parent, and turned it to Ms. McGraw before the application will be considered.  DEADLINE FOR ALL PAPERWORK IS FRIDAY April 13th.
